Artistic Director: Brinda Chatterjee
A gifted child, Brinda danced on her toes before she took her first steps! Her first performance was at the tender age of two and a half! Having mesmerised her audience and parents, she went on to capture hearts through various performances as a child. Recognizing the inherent gift their daughter was blessed with, Brinda’s parents started her formal training when she was barely three. Her feet and creativity have known no bounds since then!

She sees humility, inspiration and divinity in any art form and this sentiment translates into stunning performances that are spoken about long after the curtains come down.

Her formal dance training includes:

  • Bharat Natyam from Pandit Abhay Paul and Sri Debabrata Sen from Visharad
  • Kathak under Shyama Bhatte, Ramaprasad Chatterjee, and Mitul Sengupta
  • Contemperoray and Jazz under Yana Lewis , Sudarshan Chakraborty, Roni Shambhik Ghosh, Michael Casanovas (Switzerland), Tino Sanchez, Chris Jarosz and Attakalari Centre for Movement Arts.
  • Salsa from Richard David and Lourd Vijay.

She also has a B.A Degree, a Diploma in Computer Science and a Diploma in Interior Designing under her belt!

Brinda believes the learning never ends in any art form. She is inspired by international performers, some of whom she has had the priviledge of performing with and learning from when she was a lead performer with Bharati Pasha Goshi Production (Berlin), Nritarutya, and Sapphire Creations Dance Work shop. Her dance voyages have taken her across the world. She has performed all over India and in Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Israel.

Being a dancer, she intends to give the teachers at The Emeralds, who are also reputed performers of international calibre, a platform to shine and grow and pass on their legacy.
Director: Yogesh Chugh
A Bangalore boy, Yogesh has always been someone who refused to tread the known path. When most young men his age were getting into family businesses, Yogesh chose to venture out on his own into the nascent field of event management while still managing the family business of Investment Funding.

More than a decade and innumerable, successful events later, his company thrives, his customers praise and recommend and he decides to experiment again! Brinda’s dancing and her conviction in her ability and skill beckoned to Yogesh. Together, the creative and the business ends have come together resulting in The Emeralds Art Studio.

Yogesh can spot talent and sincerity and he believes that is what he has found in the core team of The Emeralds Art Studio. His inspiration to start this studio was also influenced by his extensive travels where he viewed performances and art shows across the world. His aim is to “give Bangalore a taste of all the various Arts from around the world under one roof and one banner.”
